Since the “Sixth Five-year” period, CARS makes systematic research on heavy haul transport, and obtains remarkable achievements in many fields such as braking technology and synchronous radio control of heavy haul trains, heavy haul subgrade technology, track structure of 60kg/m rail, CTC and traffic supervision. In recent years, CARS undertakes testing task for 20,000t combined heavy haul trains, focuses on research and tackling of technologies for 20,000t combined heavy haul train, and makes important contribution to CR’s heavy haul technology stepping into the world leading level.
